Public art is one of those things that can get strangers in the same place talking to each other, which, I suppose, can be beneficial for society in the long run.
This is what the city of Lafayette aims to promote, at the very least, with its Art on the Street public arts program.
The program features select sculptures loaned to the city and on display all year long. They will be replaced every year.
