A chair is a chair is a chair! Right! Thinking that the merry, dollar spending, tourists will eventually get tired due to their extensive walking around and photo taking, etc., the Times Square Alliance had the brilliant idea of offering chairs along the Times Square sidewalk. Turns out that the choice of chair was inadequate as cheap plastic artifacts were bought. Of course, given that some tourists, in this age of obesity, did have their pounds adorning them, some gave way and there were injuries. Thinking of the ease with which U.S. law provides for lawsuits, the alliance substituted the plastic chairs for metal ones. Well done!
