Name of your website?

David Roland Fine Art - drfa

Your name?

David Roland

Your Location (city, etc)

Brooksville near Tampa

Please give us a short summary of your website?

It displays all current and past art projects, including resume, bio and awards won.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I was hoping a would be found by the community for art projects.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Launched the first site probably in 1997, I think it was the Portrait Company

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Tried to come up with something different. There are 2.7 million portrait artist sites on the web.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

My work is very good, I am a professional artist. I am not asking for $10,000 per person.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I am keeping it for advertisement purposes. It's a way for potential customers to view my ability.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

It doesn't. Have not found a way to successfully sell art.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes,

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

I work out of my home to keep my expenses low.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Finding customers

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Non, that I know of. Other than telling people about it.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I was hoping to make sales, but I am not.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

4 years and counting

What would be the best thing happening to you?

Get a big commission

What is your website address?
