Comics seems to be something for that kinds but these hand drawn pictures are also serious art works and be define under fine arts as a mode of expression.
Some of these graphic novel excerpts were shown in the Ella Sharp Museam of Art and History. There's also a group of event "Michigan Comics: Mirth, Mockery and Mayhem". Learn more on this on the link below.
