    Art Making: As a Passion

    09/27/11 05:47

Lucky me, I was gifted with artistic hands. I won't deny the fact that because of these artistic hands, I was able to gain income and some profit. But what exactly is art? For me, I used to believe that art is more of job to be done. This was a belief I had way back since painting is my bread and butter. But as I mature, I have realized that every artwork that I make is a representation of my emotions. A symbol of me. Now, I make crafts not only as a living but as a passion.

    Craftsmanship on the big screen

    09/22/11 05:47
Independent or indie films have definitely gained the recognition that they deserve from the movie going public and critics. In fact, they thrive because people now watch to support them in theaters and rightfully so. Indie films exhibit true craftsmanship that capture real life on screen. Movie watchers become hooked because of its engaging plot and brilliant actors. It's as if you are being entertained by a real life drama or comedy instead of a movie. Some indie films have in fact become so popular that they are now being shown in commercial cinemas.

It is great to see someone having a great time and making a good living in Los Angeles

    09/17/11 05:47
This Tennessee native had transplanted herself in LA and is now doing a lot of great work and enjoying herself. It is always refreshing to see an article or interview that highlights people like this. I understand you can't be negative in an article like this but still, even if it isn't all glitz and glamor as the article portrays, the smile on this woman's face in the photo can't be faked, she is really enjoying herself

    Graphic design leader

Coreldraw used to lord it over the graphic design industry with its user friendly features that allow even non professional artists or designers to produce their graphic designs through brochures or posters or print ads.

Until Adobe came along with its gamut of graphic design software that answers all your needs in layouting. Now it is the leading graphic design software company and it seems that it will stay on top as it continues to update its software.

    E.E. Cummings' double meanigs

    09/12/11 05:47
Edward Estlin Cummings is probably one of the poetic geniuses that ever lived this earth. One of this most notable works was "Anyone Lived In A Pretty How Town." The piece is somewhat enigmatic for those who does not really know to analyze different meanings that it contains. Filled with a lot of pronouns like 'anyone,' or 'everyone,' made this piece sound differently but if you know what to substitute with them, you may get the message.

    Visual illusions

    09/07/11 05:47
If you have been to any of Philadelphia's art galleries, you have probably seen their pale photograph displays and chances are, you mistook them for paintings because that's how they look. And when you realize that they are actually photos, meaning they actually exist, you can't help but be awed by them. They're amazing because they can create certain illusions. I guess that's also the same concept as those 3D images that have hidden visuals which could only be seen by discerning eyes matched with smart brains.

    Artistic, functional, and Eco-friendly

That's how would I call Krystal O'Mara's pieces which could serve as a unique home or office furnishing. Her pieces are usually made from rims, spokes, or any part of a bicycle. Her company Remain EcoDesign was featured in the August issue of Entrepreneur magazine because of its niche in the home furnishing marketplace according to the link below.
