Free Artwork Festival

10/21/08 15:32
We all love free items, especially if those items that will be given to us have significant values, such as a piece of artwork.

Yes, someone is generous enough to run a free artwork festival, where the pieces of art are raffled off to the lucky attendees. Why is the organizer doing this? We can only guess. I just know he's generous.

Kevorkian Heritage: The Passing Away Passionate Art Philosophers

10/06/08 19:36
Art has been one of the greatest tool to convey one's perspective, expression, appreciation towards his society, self, nature and many more. Different artists have excelled in different genres of painting and other art forms. One contemporary artist and self-proclaimed controversial philosopher Jack Kevorkian had been trying to educate the public about their freedom and rights through his morbid depictions in his art gallery conveying freedom and the right to death. His cause came to a tragic conclusion with his timely death. More information about the man and his philosophy can be seen at the permalink here.

Subway Memories

10/06/08 13:45
Memories are often connected with places, just like how they are associated with other people. A burned down place may mean a tragedy for someone, or sigh of relief for someone else. A hospital bed may remind one person of his birth, while another one may remind him of the death of a loved one. Certain places mean differently for different people. Hearing them would certainly be delightful for anyone concerned about human memory and emotion.

Such a gallery that tries to capture this was set up in a Japanese subway, where people will hear others' memories using an mp3 player.
