January 20, 2009, is a memorable day for every American. It was on this day that the Barack Obama was inaugurated as President of the world's lone superpower, promising change that will usher a new era in the world.

Even artists are affected by this significant political event. Coinciding with the inauguration, the Future Tenant Galleries and guest curator Lauri Mancuso made an exhibit entitled Sworn In, a show featuring politically-minded works.

    01/21/09 11:35

Famous Egyptian works of art will be seen once again by the public after an extensive repair and restoration process.

The image, which depicts an accountant and his life at work and leisure, was discovered in the 1820s and was put up on display until the 1990s.

The repair project, which is projected to last for 50 years, is the largest conservation project of its kind in the London Museum's history.
