    Name of your website?

    studio gouttieres.com

    Your name?

    Wouter Verrips

    Your Location (city, etc)

    St Gervais d'Auvergne

Please give us a short summary of your website?

It offers courses and artist residences in France in the region Auvergne. I furthermore presents opportunities to art and art-teachers to find the best spot to work for an interesting period both for themselves as with a slefpropelled group.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

My website originally was meant to be ''present on the web''

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This website was launched in 1998

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It is the name we gave t o the location in France, named after the village Gouttieres that is part of the canton. It mans sources as well as small streams of water. The village contains 5 sources that flow down via the sioule river ( celtic for soul) in the Allier and then in the loire to end up in the atlantic ocean.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

The studio is specializing in art activities for all people. But our work is especially interesting for advanced amateurs and professional artists. Due to our experience in the field of facilitating this audience as well as due to our flexible approach in terms of facilities household etc.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Find innspiring people from oall over the planet an have interesting artistic an human contacts.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

    reasonable

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

more professional set up of pages and routing better photography

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

    yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

learning how to work with the software took time, effort and a lot of trial and error. Learning learning learning and share information and ideas with others. The bggest headacke is however how to choose between enthousiasm effectiveness, the desire to be accurste and complete and theneed to give simple and clear step by step information.

What has been your biggest challenge?

see above and then get people to see the fruits of your work.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I think the content needs to meet the interest of some people. Especially a personal network spents time on the pages. For all other efforts I cannot say I do much special

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

it is some work to do maintennce and also to keep pages ''up to date'' as well in terms of content as in terms of styyle etc.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I run the site for many years, I expect to run it many more years. To me popularity and income are not the only functions and results of working on this site, I think I would not keep it very long if there were no effects in terms of income and ''communication to a new audience''

    What is your website address?

    studio gouttieres.com
