    Name of your website?

    Eileen O'Rourke Artist

    Your name?

    Eileen O'Rourke

    Your Location (city, etc)

    Manchester

Please give us a short summary of your website?

This site has been made as an Art journal (as well as a site to sell work). The aim is to present Miss Eileen O'Rourke's development over the following years. Blogs will be added, sketches, videos and art works. Many sites deal with studio groups and selling but hardly any deal with the artistic development an artist goes through. If you have any suggestions or thoughts please do not hestitate to contact Miss O'Rourke isaacs73@hotmail.com (or leave messages in the guest book.)

What inspired you to launch your own website?

For a wider audience ..where by I will be able to connect with many countries who other wise may not know about my work.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

    I launch it around a month ago..Eileen O'Rourke Artist

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Simple really I wanted to keep my name as I am promoting myself.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

My site is not only to sell my work but all so an on line journal of my forecoming MA in Fine art at Manchester Metropolitan University.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To be a known artist promoting English up and coming artists.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

lol... the money is not the issue..of course I would love not to worry about bills! but my love for art far outways the cost.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would love to host group work shops for underprivliged children starting in Manchester, (coming from a hard upbringing myself) to promote Art , to show the benefits of focusing on a direction in life and also the rewards Art can do to a person life.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes I would commit all my time and effort in making it a success and continuing it...

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Raisning funds for exhibtions, travel costs, project funding and workshops.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Making my self known to a wider audience.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Joining related sites and adding links, Saatchi website has been the best for promoting , up to now.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

No I do not think so,,,its early days yet?? but it has made me more focused and determined .

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

A month up to now..Im starting an MA in Fine art this year and it will most likely be running after the MA finishes. As it is a on line journal of my development as well.

    Why do you do Art?

I do it , because its all I have known, it was and still is my first language.

    What is your website address?

    Eileen O'Rourke Artist
